As a minister of the Gospel, you hold a position of great responsibility and influence. The company you keep and the associations you maintain can significantly impact your reputation, your relationship with God, and your ability to effectively minister to others.
The Bible has much to say about the importance of wise associations. Proverbs 13:20 states, He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed. This verse reminds us that who we choose to associate with can either elevate us or bring us down. As a minister, it is crucial that you surround yourself with wise and godly individuals who will encourage you in your faith and challenge you to grow in your relationship with God.
Additionally, 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns, Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company ruins good morals.’ This verse emphasizes the danger of associating with those who do not share your values and beliefs.
As a minister, it is important to be cautious about who you allow to influence you and your ministry. If you are not careful, the wrong associations can lead you astray and damage your credibility as a servant of God.
Furthermore, Proverbs 22:24-25 advises, Make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man do not go, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare.
This verse reminds us that we should be cautious about associating with those who are ruled by negative emotions such as anger or bitterness. As a minister, it is important to maintain a positive and uplifting attitude, and to avoid being drawn into negativity or conflict.
On the other hand, positive associations can greatly benefit your ministry. Proverbs 27:17 states, Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. This verse highlights the importance of surrounding yourself with others who will challenge and encourage you in your faith and ministry. When you associate with like-minded individuals who are passionate about serving God, you can sharpen and strengthen each other in your walk with Christ.
As a minister, it is crucial that you be mindful of your associations. The company you keep can either make or mar you as a minister. Surround yourself with wise and godly individuals who will encourage you in your ministry and challenge you to grow in your relationship with God. Avoid negative associations that can lead you astray and damage your credibility in life and ministry. Instead, seek out positive and uplifting associations that will sharpen and strengthen you in your ministry.
Do not join some ministry association so quick, until you discover right motives and genuineness, which can help your life and ministry. Don’t join things because others are joining. Be led by the Holy Spirit and make sure it will help and not hinder you.
Some ministers association out there are satanic traps in disguise. BEWARE MY DEAR!
May God bless and guide you as you serve Him and seek to make a positive impact on those around you.
Yours In His Service
