Instead, he said, “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord” (Job 1:21). Another powerful biblical example is the story of David and Goliath. David, a young shepherd, faced the giant Goliath with only a sling and faith in God. David declared, “This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand… for the battle is the Lord’s” (1 Samuel 17:46-47). In 2 Corinthians 12:9, Paul writes, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Paul had a “thorn in the flesh,” yet he learned to rely on God’s grace. Romans 8:37 affirms, “We are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” This verse reminds us that through Christ, we are empowered to overcome any challenge. Victory is not merely about overcoming external difficulties but also about growing in faith and character through those struggles.
