In a world filled with voices and opinions, many are told, “It doesn’t matter,” about vital aspects of our faith and conduct. But the Word of God stands as the ultimate authority — “forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89). When men say, “It doesn’t matter,” beware — for deception often lies in silence or suppression of God’s truth.
- Your Dressing Matters
“Your adornment must not be merely outward — arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel — but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.”
(1 Peter 3:3-4)
God cares about your attire — not just the outward appearance but the inner modesty and holiness. Fashion and dressing are spiritual matters. When the world promotes immodesty, remember, “Do not let your adornment be merely outward” (1 Peter 3:3). Holiness in dress reflects holiness in heart.
- Your Character Matters
“A good character is more valuable than riches.”
(Proverbs 22:1)
God looks at the heart, but men look at your outward appearance, so dress well.
If there’s no difference in your dressing between when you were not saved and now that you said you are saved, then you are not truly converted.
Your integrity, humility, kindness, and love define your true worth. “Watch your conduct, for it will be your testimony before men.”
(Matthew 5:16)
Remember, “By their fruits, you shall know them” (Matthew 7:20). A Christian’s character must align with God’s standards, for “out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34).
- Holiness Matters
“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”
(Hebrews 12:14)
God commands us to be holy because “He who called you is holy” (1 Peter 1:15-16). False teachings may tell you, “You can live as you please,” but “without holiness, no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14). Holiness is not optional; it is essential.
- Obey God, Not False Preachers
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.”
(Matthew 7:15)
Many are deceived because they listen to voices that deny the importance of God’s commandments. “If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ… he is proud, knowing nothing.”
(1 Timothy 6:3-4)
Obey God’s Word directly. “The Spirit of the Lord is the guide into all truth” (John 16:13). Test every teaching against Scripture.
- Remember Judgment Day
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he has done, whether it be good or bad.”
(2 Corinthians 5:10)
Every deed, word, and thought will be examined. “Prepare to meet your God” (Amos 4:12). Don’t be deceived into thinking that worldly pleasures or false teachings will save you. Obedience to God’s Word is your only safe refuge.
- The Power of Words
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”
(Proverbs 18:21)
Use your words to build up, not tear down. Speak truth, love, and encouragement. Remember, “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth” (Ephesians 4:29). Words matter because they reveal the state of your heart.
- The Call to Be Wise and Discerning
“Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.”
(Matthew 10:16)
Discernment is crucial in these last days. Test all spirits and teachings against the Bible. “The simple believe every word, but the prudent man looks well to his going.” (Proverbs 14:15).
Never be deceived by those who tell you, “It doesn’t matter.” Every word of God matters. It matters in how you dress, how you conduct yourself, in your holiness, in your obedience, and in your discernment. Obey God rather than men (Acts 5:29). Remember, “the Lord will judge His people” (Hebrews 10:30).
Prepare yourself for the coming judgment day. Live in holiness, speak truth, and follow God’s Word fully.
“He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.”
(Revelation 21:7)
Stay vigilant, stay holy, and keep your eyes on Jesus. For His Word is truth, and His judgment is sure.
