Today, I want to speak to your spirit about a profound truth, There’s More to Life than what we often see or experience in the natural. Many are living beneath their divine potential, caught up in the mundane, the routine, and the superficial. But God has called us to a life of purpose, abundance, and eternal significance.
In John 10:10, Jesus declares, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” This is not just about existing; it is about thriving, flourishing, and living out the fullness of God’s purpose for our lives.
I invite you today to open your heart and mind to the reality that God has more in store for you, more joy, more peace, more purpose, and more impact. Let’s explore how to embrace the abundant life that Jesus offers.
1. Recognize That You Were Created for More
Genesis 1:26-28 reveals the divine purpose of mankind: “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness… Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it.”
You were created in the image of God, designed for greatness, dominion, and impact. Too often, believers settle for a mediocre existence when God’s plan is for us to walk in divine authority and fulfillment.
God’s original intent was for us to live a life of purpose, power, and influence, more than just survival or routine.
2. Break Free from Limiting Beliefs
Many people are confined by mental barriers, self-doubt, fear, past failures, or societal limitations. But 2 Corinthians 5:7 states, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” Faith is the key that unlocks the door to more.
God wants us to believe beyond the visible, to trust His promises, and to see ourselves through His eyes, destined for more.
Renew your mind with God’s Word (Romans 12:2). Declaring God’s promises over your life shifts your perspective from limitation to divine possibility.
3. Embrace the Power of Purpose
Ephesians 2:10 declares, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Understanding your purpose ignites passion and direction. Without purpose, life becomes aimless. With purpose, every day becomes meaningful.
Seek God’s purpose for your life through prayer, meditation on His Word, and seeking His guidance. When you find your divine assignment, you step into more.
4. Faith for the Greater
Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Faith is the bridge to the more. It is the spiritual currency that activates the unseen promises of God. When you believe God for more, more joy, more provision, more health, you position yourself to receive.
Dare to believe God for the impossible. Declare boldly: “I believe there is more in store for me!”
5. Seek the Greater in God
Matthew 6:33 instructs us, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
God’s kingdom is about righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). When we prioritize Him, everything else falls into place.
Pursue God passionately, through prayer, worship, service, and obedience, and watch as He reveals the more He has for you.
6. Live with an Expectant Heart
Romans 8:24-25 says, “For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.”
Hope fuels your journey toward the more. Expectancy activates divine activity.
Speak words of faith daily. Declare, “I expect more from God!” and stand firm in anticipation.
7. Overcome Fear and Step Into the Unknown
Joshua 1:9 commands, “Be strong and of good courage… For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Fear often keeps us from stepping into the more. But God’s presence is our assurance.
Trust God’s presence. Be fearless. Step out in faith, whether it’s a new venture, a new relationship, or a new level of spiritual growth.
8. Embrace the Holy Spirit’s Leading
John 14:26 says, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
The Holy Spirit is your guide to more. He reveals divine insights, opens doors, and empowers you to walk into your greater purpose.
Cultivate a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Pray in the Spirit daily and listen for His guidance.
9. Walk in Faith, Not Fear
2 Timothy 1:7 declares, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Fear paralyzes; faith propels. To live the more, you must confront and cast out fear.
Confront fears with the Word of God. Declare, “I have power and love, and I will not fear because God is with me.”
10. Trust God’s Timing
Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.”
Patience is crucial. The more God has for you may require waiting and trusting His perfect timing.
Develop patience and perseverance. Trust that what is coming is worth the wait.
11. Live with Gratitude and Praise
Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Gratitude opens the door for more. Praise shifts your focus from lack to abundance.
End each day thanking God for what He has already done as a foundation for what’s to come.
12. Break Limitations and Step Into New Levels
Isaiah 43:19 proclaims, “Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
God specializes in doing new things, more than we can ask or think.
Break out of complacency. Dare to believe God for a new level, new opportunities, and new breakthroughs.
13. Be a Vessel for God’s Glory
2 Corinthians 4:7 says, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”
Your life is a vessel capable of displaying God’s glory. The more you surrender, the more His glory can shine through you.
Live intentionally, serve, give, and walk in righteousness, so that God’s glory is revealed through your life.
14. Pursue Wisdom and Divine Guidance
Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
Divine guidance is essential for uncovering the more God has for you. Seek wisdom from above.
Pray for wisdom daily and listen for His direction.
15. Live with an Eternal Perspective
2 Corinthians 4:18 encourages us, “While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
Focus on eternal promises, not temporary circumstances.
Let your eyes be fixed on the eternal, knowing that the more in God is everlasting.
Brothers and sisters, the life God has for us is abundant, full of purpose, joy, and destiny. There is always more in God, more love, more peace, more power, more victories, more purpose.
The key to experiencing the more is to believe it, pursue it, and walk in faith daily. Don’t settle for mediocrity when God is calling you to excellence. Don’t accept the status quo when divine abundance awaits.
Remember, Jesus came that we might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). That abundant life is yours today. It’s time to rise up, stretch your faith,
Yours In His Service
