In the vast universe of divine truth, one truth stands as the pinnacle of revelation, God is exceedingly, immeasurably, and infinitely great. The Scriptures declare that our God is not just mighty or mighty enough, but exceedingly great beyond human comprehension. His greatness surpasses all understanding, His power exceeds all limits, and His love extends beyond the farthest reaches of the cosmos.
To truly know God as the exceedingly God is to open the door to a life of awe, reverence, and unlimited faith. It is to encounter a divine nature that is beyond description, beyond measure, and beyond the confines of human limitations. It is to grasp the depth of His power, the height of His glory, and the breadth of His mercy.
This message is an invitation and a revelation, an awakening to the reality that our God is exceedingly greater than any challenge, any obstacle, or any enemy we face. Because He is exceedingly great, our faith in Him should be exceedingly bold. Our worship should be exceedingly sincere. Our trust should be exceedingly unwavering.
The Nature of the Exceedingly God
The Exceedingly God is the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the One who spoke the universe into existence with His Word. His greatness is unmatched, His power is limitless, and His wisdom is infinite. The psalmist declares in Psalm 145:3, “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.”
His greatness is beyond human discovery; it is inexhaustible, eternal, and perfect.
Isaiah 40:28 reminds us: “Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?”
His strength is inexhaustible; His power is unending.
Ephesians 3:20 affirms: “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
The exceedingly God is able to do far more than we can imagine, His capacity is limitless.
The Revelation of God’s Exceeding Greatness
The Creator of All Things
Genesis 1:1 opens with the declaration: “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.”
His creative power is not limited by time or space. He spoke, and the universe came into being. The stars, planets, oceans, mountains, and life itself are testimonies to His exceeding greatness.
The Sovereign Ruler
Revelation 19:6 describes the mighty voice of heaven: “Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.”
God’s sovereignty is complete, His dominion is everlasting, and His authority is unmatched. No power, no prince, no ruler can oppose His will.
The God of Miracles
Throughout Scripture, we see God’s exceeding power manifesting in miracles: parting seas, raising the dead, healing the sick, and transforming lives. These miracles reveal that His power is not limited by natural laws but is subject only to His divine will.
Exodus 15:11 exclaims: “Who is like unto Thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?”
His wonders are beyond human comprehension.
The Attributes of the Exceedingly Great God
His Omnipotence
God is all-powerful. Nothing is impossible for Him. His arm is not shortened, and His hand is not limited. Jeremiah 32:17 affirms: “Ah Lord God! Behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by Thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for Thee.”
The exceedingly God can do all things.
His Omniscience
God knows everything. Nothing escapes His knowledge. Psalm 147:5 declares: “Great is our Lord, and of great power: His understanding is infinite.”
His wisdom is beyond measure; His plans are perfect and eternal.
His Omnipresence
God is present everywhere at all times. Psalm 139:7-10 describes: “Where shall I go from Thy Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Thy presence?”
His presence is an all-encompassing reality.
His Mercy and Compassion
The exceedingly God is rich in mercy. Ephesians 2:4 states: “But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us.”
His mercy endures forever, surpassing human understanding and extending to all who believe.
His Love
God’s love is exceedingly great. Romans 8:38-39 affirms: “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life… nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
His love is unconditional, everlasting, and beyond measure.
The Power of the Exceeding God
The Power to Create
The exceedingly God created the universe by His Word. Hebrews 11:3 affirms: “Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God.”
His creative power is limitless and eternal.
The Power to Save
The cross of Jesus Christ demonstrates the exceeding power of God’s love and salvation. Romans 1:16 declares: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation.”
His salvation is complete, and His power can transform any life.
The Power to Heal
Divine healing flows from the exceeding power of God. Isaiah 53:5 proclaims: “By His stripes, we are healed.”
His power restores health, strength, and vitality.
The Power to Deliver
God’s power can break every chain, cast out every demon, and set captives free. Luke 4:18 describes Jesus’ mission: “He hath anointed Me to preach deliverance to the captives.”
His exceeding power is available to all who believe.
Walking in the Exceeding Greatness of God
1. Recognize His Sovereign Power
To walk in the fullness of God’s exceeding greatness, we must acknowledge His sovereignty. Recognize that nothing is too hard for Him, and nothing can stand against His divine will.
2. Trust His Infinite Wisdom
God’s plans are perfect. Trust that He knows what is best and that His timing is right. His wisdom surpasses all human understanding.
3. Believe in His Miraculous Power
Believe that nothing is impossible with God. Expect divine breakthroughs, supernatural provisions, and miraculous interventions.
4. Walk in Holy Fear and Reverence
Revere His greatness. Worship Him in spirit and truth. His holiness is to be revered, and His greatness is to be celebrated.
5. Live in Faith and Expectation
Hold fast to His promises. Confess His Word daily. Expect His exceeding greatness to manifest in every area of your life.
6. Live Holy and Obedient
Walk in righteousness. Holiness attracts His presence and His power. Obedience opens the door for divine breakthroughs.
The Exceedingly God in Your Life
The God of all greatness is not distant or disconnected; He desires to live within you, work through you, and manifest His exceeding power in your daily walk. When you believe and step out in faith, His greatness becomes your reality.
Ephesians 3:20 affirms: “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
His power is within us, waiting to be released through faith, prayer, and obedience.
Embrace His Exceeding Power

God is calling His people to rise higher, to walk in His fullness, and to experience the fullness of His divine nature. This is the time to believe that you serve an exceedingly great God who can do all things.
You are not called to a life of mediocrity or limitation. You are called to an abundant life, overflowing, overflowing, overflowing with His goodness, power, and glory. Your life is meant to reflect His greatness.
The victory, the healing, the breakthroughs, and the miracles you seek are already available in the realm of the Spirit. You must believe, proclaim, and act in faith to step into the fullness of His exceeding greatness.
Live with Confidence
Declare daily that your God is exceedingly great. Trust His promises. Walk in obedience. Praise Him for His mighty works. Expect breakthroughs every day.
