PREACHINGS THAT PROMOTE SIN AND WORLDLINESS IS OUT OF DIVINE ORDER

In the journey of faith, it is crucial to understand the divine order established by God concerning salvation, sanctification, and righteous living. The Bible is clear: we are saved from sin, delivered from darkness, and called into God’s glorious light. Any teaching or preaching that encourages or promotes sin and worldliness contradicts God’s divine plan and undermines the very purpose of Christ’s sacrifice.

The foundational truth of Christianity is that salvation is a deliverance from the power and penalty of sin, not an endorsement or invitation to continue in sin.

Romans 6:6-7: “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.”

Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Titus 2:14: “Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”

These scriptures affirm that Christ’s purpose was to save us from sin, not to save us into sin. Our salvation is designed to free us from the dominion of darkness, not to endorse darkness.

The Bible emphasizes that believers are rescued from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son.

Colossians 1:13-14: “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son: In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins.”

John 8:36: “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

1 Peter 2:9: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

Preaching that promotes sin or suggests that believers can live comfortably in darkness is out of God’s divine order. We are called to walk in the light, not in darkness.

The believer’s battle is against the sin nature (“flesh”), which remains until glorification. The Bible calls us to mortify the deeds of the body and walk in the Spirit.

Romans 8:13: “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.”

Galatians 5:16: “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”

2 Corinthians 7:1: “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Preachings that minimize the importance of sanctification or promote complacency in sin are contrary to biblical instruction. We are called to actively deal with the sin nature and pursue holiness.

Worldliness is incompatible with the Christian calling. The Bible warns against conforming to worldly standards and values.

Romans 12:2: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

1 John 2:15-17: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

James 4:4: “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”

Preaching that endorses pursuing wealth, pleasure, and worldly success at the expense of spiritual growth is out of divine order. We are called to live holy, separate lives dedicated to God.

God’s divine order is rooted in righteousness and holiness.

1 Peter 1:15-16: “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

Hebrews 12:14: “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”

2 Corinthians 7:1: “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Preachings that promote sin, laxity, or worldly living are out of God’s divine order. True divine order promotes holiness, righteousness, and separation from sin.

The Scriptures are clear: salvation is from sin, delivered from darkness, and meant to lead us into a life of righteousness and holiness. Any teaching or preaching that encourages sin or worldliness is contrary to God’s divine order and purpose for believers.

True servants of God promotes holiness and God-likeness.
Let us hold fast to the Word of God, walk in the Spirit, and uphold the righteousness and holiness that Christ purchased for us with His own blood. Preach the truth boldly, and shun teachings that promote sin, darkness, or worldly conformity.

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” (Matthew 5:14)
