Luke 10:19 affirms, “Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” This divine authority is the divine power to bind, cast out, and overthrow every evil force.
The first step in binding the strong man is recognizing the enemy’s tactics. The enemy seeks to operate through deception, fear, doubt, and temptation. He wants believers to accept sickness, poverty, and bondage as normal or unchangeable.
The second step is exercising divine authority. Mark 3:27 declares, “No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods unless he first binds the strong man; then indeed he may plunder his house.” This divine authority is exercised through prayer, fasting, declaring God’s Word, and exercising divine power.
The third step is exercising spiritual discernment. Recognize the enemy’s schemes, expose his lies, and refuse to listen to his deception. The enemy loves to operate in darkness, but the light of God’s Word exposes his schemes.
The fourth step is using divine weapons. Declare the blood of Jesus, wield the Word of God, pray in the Spirit, and decree divine victory. These divine weapons are mighty through God to demolish every stronghold.
The fifth step is standing firm in faith. Resist the enemy steadfastly, refuse to give in to fear, doubt, or despair, and declare divine victory over every attack.
Matthew 16:19 declares, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” This divine authority is the divine key to binding the strong man and establishing divine victory.

Praying in the Spirit activates divine power and divine angels. Jude 1:20 urges us, “Building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.” Prayer in the Spirit is the divine secret weapon for binding the strong man.
Standing firm in faith involves resisting the enemy’s tactics, refusing to be shaken or moved by fear or doubt. Declare divine victory continually.
